Chile Pepper XC information

Posted: September 29, 2014 in Uncategorized

Runners & Superfans,
Here is some information for the upcoming Chile Pepper XC Festival in Fayetville, AR. The Chile Pepper is one of the biggest cross country races in the Midwest. Last year there were 71 teams and over 500 runners in the boys varsity race. My goal is to let the kids have a real opportunity to race against some of the best runners in the Midwest, see some great university runners, and have a great time with the running community. I will try to stick to the itinerary below to the best of my ability, but with travel and a race of this size, delays may occur. I will keep the kids informed of changes and feel free to call or text me if you have questions: 417-379-6764.

Bus leaves SHS @ 6:30 am; please eat breakfast before you leave.
Arrive in Fayetville at 9:00 am; set camp and watch college races

Runners will receive free tacos after their race but they may want to bring money for t-shirts and concessions. The usually snacks will be provided as well.

Posted: September 28, 2014 in Uncategorized

Runners & Superfans,
The XC team had a great time running this weekend at Pomme de Terre outlet park and came away with some great results. The boys team finished fourth out of all 24 teams in attendance and 2nd in the small schools division. Bolivar, Kickapoo, and Lamar finished in front of the Indians. The boys ran an amazing race and finished with 5 individual medalist. The girls team were 5th out of 9 teams with two individual medalist. Below are times for the meet which are somewhat correct. Sometimes I get excited and forget to hit the button. Complete results can always be found at mo.milesplit.com. There is a link on our homepage.

Next up is the Chili Pepper Festival in Fayetville, AR on Saturday the October 24th. This is a massive meet with a Division I college race and over 400 runners in the varsity boys race. It should be a great time. More info to follow.

Thanks for all the support,
